Tony Kornheiser Remains an Obnoxious Old Coot

During Pardon the Interruption's "Happy Trails" segment yesterday, Tony Kornheiser had the gall to say something which roughly resembled (sorry, no DVR) the following:

Happy trails to these ridiculous Roy Halladay trade rumors, now that the deadline has passed. For the last two weeks ESPN viewers have been held hostage by this story for hours every day. All I want to know is, how are we going to get that time back?"

Once the broadcast was over Kornheiser immediately returned to fellating Brett Favre. No word yet as to whether or not Kornheiser has realized how horrendously hypocritical it is for him to complain about an overexposed story.

I think a better question is- how much airtime did PTI give to the Halladay story during the last two weeks? I bet they covered it at least once, probably more.

Larry, I believe the proper way to say that would be "Kornheiser immediately returned to kornheising Brett Favre".

I don't watch PTI anymore but I can only imagine how much time in the past month that show has dedicated to the trade rumors. Is he blaming himself or just the network as a whole?
