yessss! first john kruk post

LUNCHPAIL ALERT:

im watching baseball tonight. cue astros rookie hunter pence, who has one of the worst cases of permanent bugeye ive ever seen. he absolutely destroys a pitch, way WAY out to deep left at minute maid park. the camera didnt even pick it up. it was probably hit roughly as far as pujols' famous 2005 NLCS bomb off brad lidge. krukie chimes in (mildly paraphrased): "you know what i liked about this though? even with as far as he hit it, he was still sprinting around the bases as fast as he could." the highlight then shows pence hustling around third while slapping five with the base coach.

you know what i liked about it? the fact that he hit a ball like 480 feet, and thats really hard to do in the major leagues. but not kruk, no sir. HE liked the fact that the guy who hit the ball ran around the bases faster than most people do after hitting a home run. im declaring the lunchpail alert level to be at red for the next 12 hours due to this comment.
