And Barry Bonds Is The Only Athlete Ever To Take Steroids

ESPN college basketball analyst (I almost put quotation marks around analyst, but I'm not that lame) Hubert Davis, offering his thoughts earlier tonight about North Carolina's chances in the tournament:

What I like about Tyler Hansbrough is that he's the only player in the country who always gives 100% effort on both ends of the court.

Really? The one and only? Singular? You're an idiot.

I heard Dick Vitale say something like that during the Duke-Carolina game. Just because Hansbrough is spastic does not mean no one else in basketball tries hard.

This is what irks me so badly. Hansbrough looks for contact, plays hard, and bangs in the middle, but that is ok with everyone because he is just trying hard. Also he is tall, when you are tall it is ok. When any perimeter player plays hard, plays tough in the middle and dives for loose balls that person is annoying and gets called "scrappy" and gets the most out of his talent. Because he is short.

Oh yeah? Then how is he playing so well?

Dammit. You are right. What was I thinking when I made that earlier comment? Everyone knows Hansbrough has no talent, I mean he was only the 10th highest rated recruit in his class, and went head to head and matched numbers pretty well with LeBron James and Greg Oden in high school. I guess they just don't try as hard as Hansbrough.
