Sensational Stories > Sports

Screenshot of the current front page at the World Wide Leader:

If I were a fan of Florida, Tennessee, Boston College, Georgia Tech, USC or Nebraska I might be a bit annoyed at ESPN's frontpage, where none of those six teams and their important games get a bit of a mention. Three ranked-team showdowns and who's the cover story on one of the biggest websites in sports?

Notre Dame-Michigan. What sells? Not good sports, apparently!

my god, Notre Dame is fucking awful. I think this is the worst college football team I've ever seen.

Claussen actually looks promising but their O-Line is atrocious. You could have Peyton Manning back there and nothing would change. Jesus.

Now eriz, I don't feel like you're assessing this accurately. Jay Mariotti says that it's Weis's fault and Clausen's fault....so uhh...this entire fictional concept of an "offensive line" doesn't exactly hold water.

chris- it's ok, charlie weis is coaching a "nasty" team (just like he promised). plus, he's an offensive genius. everything is going to be ok.

ps- get over willingham already

in all seriousness, Weis has to share a lot of the blame. I know that he's working with mostly shitty recruits from willingham, but jesus christ. The blocking schemes are atrocious and the playcalling has been predictable.

A good coach should be able to at least playcall a few first downs in a row.

If I'm a Notre Dame fan, I give Weis at two more seasons to see what he can do, but at some time he has to be blamed for how they're performing. Blaming one short recruiting season ann willingham only gets you so much.

weis gets some of the blame for sure, but look at how lacking of upperclassmen talent we have

there's no excuse to only have one upperclassman who can start at O line.

YOU CAN NOT COMPETE WITH SOPHOMORES AND FRESHMEN AT LEFT TACKLE LEFT GUARD RIGHT GUARD AND RIGHT TACKLE

what is our biggest problem on offense? i'll give you a hint: it's not anything that DOESN'T have to do with O-line
