the scene: monday night baseball. yankees vs. angels. angels catcher jeff mathis is on 2nd with 1 out. hustles mclunchpail, aka reggie willits, strikes out swinging. your thoughts, rick sutcliffe?
"You know, to me, that's a productive out."
rick was referring to the fact that willits started his at bat down 0-2, then worked it back to a full count and fouled off a few more pitches before whiffing. still.... NO. i wonder if mathis thought the out was productive as he continued to stand on second while willits walked back to the dugout.
he must have been drunk
ReplyDeleteThat man is one of the absolute worst.
ReplyDeleteI had a productive trip to the mall yesterday. I browsed for 6 hours but didn't buy anything. The important thing is I saw what was out there.
ReplyDeleteI can kind of see where he's coming from but it was still stupid. Sure working a count is great and if every batter saw 7 pitches you'd be into the bullpen in the 4th inning, which is a good thing. But still you don't say someone is being productive when they just struck out with a runner on 2nd and 1 out.
