GMs, coaches, and owners know that if you win, you make money.

Teams will take whoever they think has the best shot at winning, and if that doesn't include future HOF'ers and washed up guys who used to be good, then they will cut or trade them in a heartbeat. As it should be.

As with all sports, the stars of one generation give way to the next. I imagine that if Easterbrook wrote about baseball in the 60s, he would have said the same thing about Willie Mays, Roger Maris, Gil Hodges and Duke Snider. Trying to hold on to an era that is fading away into memory. It happens every 10-15 years, and some people obviously cannot handle that.Elliotnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6300012139741038635.post-26784479094447280222009-08-27T09:30:37.693-07:002009-08-27T09:30:37.693-07:00@Tonus Yeah, not only a salary cap, but non-guaran...@Tonus Yeah, not only a salary cap, but non-guaranteed contracts.

@JackM LOLLarry Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16141943214237719821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6300012139741038635.post-17122008692805070332009-08-27T08:04:39.337-07:002009-08-27T08:04:39.337-07:00This must be some new trend in the NFL. You'd think the NFL had a salary cap or some crazy shit like that.Tonushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01082528970434639776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6300012139741038635.post-69810906722459529022009-08-27T05:04:08.566-07:002009-08-27T05:04:08.566-07:001. If they're really all deciding not to pay, won't they get in trouble for it?

2. I'm ashamed to discover that there are people out there for whom the title "TMQ" isn't specific enough time to find the article - people who look forward to "TMQ" so much that they can't just wait till T, they need Twitter updates to tell them exactly what time on T that TMQ is published.

Ugh.dan-bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02465285716333091226noreply@blogger.com
